At 44, the former Arnold Classic winner passed away.
Fans and bodybuilders alike were shocked to hear that Cedric McMillan, 44, had died on April 12th. Although no cause of death has been disclosed, McMillan’s health problems, which were well-known for many months, have prevented him from participating in several contests including the Arnold Classic 2021 and 2022. McMillan was also proud to be a United States Army veteran and served his country in South Carolina for many years.
Although McMillan’s death is not known in detail, many bodybuilding and fitness enthusiasts have offered touching tributes to McMillan in memory of one of the most beloved bodybuilders of the sport over the past decade.

He was known for his big personality, infectious smile, gentle heart and sense of humor. Cedric was a champion in bodybuilding and fitness. However, his competitive achievements, including multiple wins in Arnold Classic, were not enough to make him a star. His 20+ years of selfless service in the United States Army where he earned the rank of Sergeant First class in July 2021, was what Cedric was most proud of.

“I just wanted to share a few words about Cedric. He was so gifted, so vital for us all, and he didn’t even know it. He was so self-critical that he didn’t realize he was the leader of any group with which he walked. He believed that to be a leader, you needed to win the big show. But he wasn’t trying. His military years were clear that he was a leader, he always did things his way, commanded respect and brought everyone together. You would never have believed me if you said it was the last time we would speak. Some people make you smile every time you see or hear their faces. Cedric was one of those people. Cedric was a huge personality. He was gentle, kind, and funny in equal measures. Cedric was a champion in bodybuilding and will be remembered as a legend.
